The Nissan Qashqai concept, unveiled at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show, was the first project designed by Nissan Design Europe in London.

CGI was contracted by Nissan to turn their idea into physical reality, from its complex rear-hinged doors to its unique side-hinged seats. The result of the partnership between Nissan Design Europe and CGI was recognised when the Qashqai was awarded the best Concept/Prototype at the Institute of Vehicle Engineers (IVehE) Motor Show Awards in 2004.
