Having constructed the groundbreaking Cadillac Cien, General Motors again turned to CGI to design and build the GMC Graphyte, an exciting prototype designed to demonstrate a new two-model full hybrid propulsion system.
The Graphyte was engineered and built by CGI in a 12 week programme and unveiled at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show as a fully-functioning pre-production prototype; a perfect illustration of the partnership between GM’s Advanced Design Studio in Coventry and CGI.
“CGI is embracing and implementing new technology, this shows a genuine understanding of the needs of the automotive design manufacturer.”
Simon Cox, Director, General Motors Advanced Design, UK
